a few weeks ago i received an email that almost made me drop a dumbbell on my foot. it was from the incredibly lovely team at eclipsed sounds, wondering if i would like to participate in the pre-release of their newest voice library and play around with her early. i put the dumbbell down somewhere other than my foot and said yes a million times. in my accidental position as the most country fried vocal synth producer on the market, of course i said yes. even if i'm actually from massachusetts. does it count if my swedish family is southern? JOVIE releases later this month, and you can learn more about her here: https://eclipsedsounds.com/jovie - #synthv #JOVIE - if you'd like to support my work: 🐴💕 https://ko-fi.com/hpheisler - music produced in cubase 13 pro. featuring JOVIE by Eclipsed Sounds featuring background vocals from Liam (SV2) for Synthesizer V Studio 2 by Dreamtonics - music & lyrics by h. p. heisler art & video by h. p. heisler - his mother cooked on electric so of course his discipline was worse cause it's a much harder lesson when you never see the fire and get burned some of us make meals for five at fourteen we shop and sharpen knives and bake the bread service provided was it love or nessecity to give up all you have and get none back so i never ask for more than that and i never bother with insurance plans when the pilot light clicks with the gas still running there are times i wish for the flashbang and debris if my heart ignites cause it hurts to love him who takes the blame when we're blown to smithereens who lit the flame or let the propane bleed? his father made it an assumption that it's all an even trade that love was something that you got just getting home from work each day i let him feed on the attention and he let me stuff his face but i'm the one that's in the kitchen cleaning up the mess we made but i didn't ask for more than that and i didn't notice when the leak began when the pilot light clicks with the gas still running there are times i wish for the flashbang and debris if my heart ignites cause it hurts to love him who takes the blame when we're blown to smithereens who lit the flame or let the propane bleed? some of us feel seventeen at thirty we overcompensate for common sense we walk the borderline of love and stupidity our family recipe for something bad we did our best with the instructions and we made their worst mistakes we call it love but the compulsion makes it clear that nothing's changed my mother cooked on gas i recognize her circumstance so let's just strike a match and watch it burn when the pilot light clicks with the gas still running let's get it over with in the flashbang and debris if our hearts ignite what did we learn from it? for get the blame we'll let the propane bleed - indie songwriter bedroom pop vocaloid vocal synth synthV country bluegrass bedroom drama romance vintage synthesizerV

As a part of Synthesizer V JOVIE's pre-release, I received a copy of her voice database early from Eclipsed Sounds. This cover uses almost all of JOVIE's vocal modes, and features Eclipsed Sounds' previous voice database HXVOC. A big thank you to the team at Eclipsed Sounds for giving me this opportunity! JOVIE releases in mid-September, so please keep an eye out for her release! You can find more information on her on Eclipsed Sounds' website. Thank you to @tmtortellini for rendering HXVOC for me! Cover: HWAAStyle Original Song: Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper

Just think I am knee-high to a grasshopper? Color me surprised! I'm part of JOVIE's pre-release and received the voice early. So of course Andromeda and I wrote a Swingin' Country Metal song with her. Andromeda and I started cranking out demo after demo. I knew I wanted to aim for a Country Metal hybrid. We brainstormed ideas like her being a train robber. When the design was revealed, we wanted to do something more light-hearted. So Ain't No Aesop was born. Z: When Andromeda set-up the word cloud to get ideas for building the song, the phrase that stood out to me was "Knee high to a grasshopper" and that’s where the chorus melody comes from. For the full song, I aimed more for a loose swing feel. Z: The joke name for this song was “Jovie Butt Rock, But Swing.” We also used Solaria as a placeholder until I got the code for Jovie. Hearing the song go from a comparatively more urban style to Jovie’s twang was cool af. Z: We wrote this song in under 3 weeks. Which means this is the fastest Zynthesiren song we have written and released so far. Z: Theodor from Slaughtered Studio was busy with some other songs, so we needed this one mixed FAST! Andromeda mentioned that Delicious Morsels was offering mixing and mastering services, so I shot him a DM and he was on-board! He nailed the first mix in just 2 days, and the quality is very on-par with Theodor. So I highly recommend Morsels if you want a good rock and metal mix. Z: We added a little Yu-Gi-Oh reference in the lyrics and Morsels caught it instantly. Did you? AB: How exciting it was that Zynthesiren got an early copy of JOVIE! Because Zynthesiren and I are insane people, we wanted to make an original song! There were a lot of ideas that we threw into brainstorming for this song. Country tropes, western tropes, phrases, inspiration from other songs. Zynthesiren latched onto the phrase, “knee-high to a grasshopper,” as in, being very young and small and naive. AB: After fixating on the phrase “knee-high to a grasshopper,” quick research led to the Aesop fable of The Grasshopper and the Ant, telling the tale of the industrious ant who works all year to save up food for the winter, and the foolish grasshopper who would rather spend his summer dancing. We took that idea and turned it on its ear, making the narrative about someone who sees no value in what the narrator does, thinking they are more foolish and naive than the grasshopper in the tale. The title, “Ain’t No Aesop” suggests that the one who is so judgemental attempts to position themself as an Aesop figure, but is susceptible to ignorance and foolishness themself. AB: I had so many episodes of Game Changer on in the background while I rushed to complete the art for this song. If no one got me I know Sam Reich and Dropout got me. AB: Shout-out to hp heisler who also wrote an original track as part of the pre-release program with JOVIE! “Pilot Light” is an excellent song!
